The Biggest Loser

The reality tv series "The Biggest Loser" does a fantastic job of helping people to lose weight, not just the contestants either - just watching the program makes you want to try some of the things out.  It teaches many good weight loss lessons.

Motivation

The biggest loser is a great demonstration of what a difference motivation can make to the success of your weight loss attempts.  On the show they have personal trainers and dietiticians helping them around the clock.  These people ensure the contestants are doing the right exercise and eating the right foods.  They are also motivated by the fact that people all around the world are watching.

Good Information

You'll noticed that on the program they aren't using the latest diet fads and weight loss pills and all of that kind of garbage.  Instead they stick to the tried and true methods of weight loss ... lot's of exercise and a diet that keeps the calorie intake reasonably low but doesn't cause starvaton. 

Sometimes the contestants fail to lose weight on a particular week.  This just show's that even if you're doing things really well and have all the right help, some weeks you just aren't going to lose any weight.  This doesn't mean you should get discouraged.  You carry on and perhaps make a few changes here and there.
